Greece is seeking a loan of 130 billion Euros over three years! Must be worth a few Islands or so! They lied about their fiscal accounts entering the Euro and now want the rest of the World (IMF) and Germany to bail them out! Beware of Greeks bearing gifts?! Richard

the greek crisis is manageable: either by bail-out, a straight default, or most likely a "haircut", where the lenders agree to accept later repayments and a smaller overall sum let's hope the contagion can be held I will not make any cheap remarks since many of the southern countries have mopped up far too much easy credit than was good for them what it does say about greek governments is they are less than frank and the claim to want turkey in the eu as a buffer rather than abandoning cyprus, must be viewed in this context andre

Four German professors are planning legal action against the German government for breaching the ‘No Bailout’ clause in the European Monetary Union rules. While the chances of meaningful success (blocking Germany’s emergency loan) are low, in the unlikely event of success, this could be a real game changer.
