A well known fact is that the full moon affects human behaviour. As any nurse will tell you the most mild mannered patients could go 'barking' mad on the night of a full moon.



Do you think it affects the way we as humans react??

A True full moon story,



Many years ago I worked in a psychiatric hospital in Lanarkshire and we had the sweetest old lady who had been resident there since the age of 14. She was totally institutionalised and should probably never have been there initially but thats another story!

Anyway one night on a full moon Mary wandered through the rooms and swopped all the dentures about, I came on duty at 6am started to get the patients up and washed and dressed for breakfast at 8am and then the fun started as they all just put the dentures in anyway some had 2 sets of bottom teeth other 2 sets of top teeth. The only one with their own dentures was Mary and she laughed and laughed then wondered how we knew it was her.!

Chris, I think it depends on where you are! A wet night in the UK....or sitting outside, enjoying a nice meal, listening to the waves lap lazily on to the shore....so many good memories of Cyprus...

Sorry message 1 but there is no empirical evidence to back that up, I has a AMP (approved mental health practioner) have never seen any evidence to justify your claim, but i may be wrong.

Chris - it is, indeed, a splendid moon on a clear night here in East Anglia.



With regard to strange behaviour - well, sadly, as much as I'd like to, I cannot blame the lunar cycle for the behaviour of some.



My Mum worked for many years in a pyschiatric hospital; she told me such tales as you have related. Mind you, she also always said "there's more out than in". Reading this forum of late, I'm beginning to think she's right.
