Sorry, could not find the previous post. BBC tonight, I saw it as:-

1) Clegg

2) Brown

3) Cameron

Not much in it, but eye contact with the questionnaire is better than playing to the camera!

Richard

Brown sounded quite good on economics, but his very sincere smile lost him points................

Quite right Mark! Who do you think will replace Brown as leader of the Labour party?

Hi Zookeeper.. I haven't a clue... Milliband / Balls ?

I guess I should care as if the Tories ( or even Labour) enter a coalition with Lib Dems and it proves unworkable, we could have another election, soon.

The political pundits seem to predict a Conservative win, with Labour and Liberal close but have they considered what I call the nuisance factor. Communications and political experts aggree that on line voting and the like is fraught with abuse. For example in one election several hundred votes came from one road in UK which was shown to have only two small houses. I have never subsequently seen the results of the Police fraud investigation if they were ever published. In the USA the votes of an entire state were discounted due to a late submission and the result, George Bush as President. The recent misconduct of those in Parliament must surely mean that those with the least remorse will fix a win. This of course is the view of a wizened old fart but my Wildebeest (bless her) says that after 5 children and 10 grandchildren she spent too much time in Labour, I was too Liberal with it, and it is time we tried some of those Contraservatives or whatever they are called !

The sad part for me is I would prefer to vote for New Labour as I believe Brown is the devil I know and I really don't think that the untested opposition Cameron (Cameleon) and Clegg have sufficient experience to tackle what is ahead.

Here lies my dilemma. New Labour has parachuted in again, from London their preferred candidate (relatively safe Labour seat). However the incumbent passionless Ruth Kelly may have changed peoples voting habits following her 2 terms with us.

The Tories have a home grown local councillor standing for this same seat. Because he should truly understand local issues I am tempted to vote for him.

After the rubbish performance by Labour over the last few years I am surprised that people find it difficult to choose. Do we really want more of the same?????????

Tony Blair was untested - and look at the mess he left

Gordon Brown was untested - look at the mess he is in

not contest!!!!!

Deputydawg (msg.8) Loved it! Good to inject a wee bit of humour into this very serious issue.

Wearytravellers: Can see you're also taking the mick but lets not forget that 'Big Goggsie' is a NON-ELECTED prime minister. With just around 24 hours left before we begin to learn who's won (or not) , even Labour campaigners are turning against GBrown, with one saying he's the worst PM ever. Some support.....not.

The only party that hasn't strayed from any of the original points made in manifesto or TV debates are the Blues. Libs and Labour keep back-tracking, banana-skin slipping and back stabbing. More fraudulent postal voting has come to light, especially among the immigrant population, and all in Labour strongholds. (And no, I'm not a bigot !). I want GB out - and Great Britain to be governed by a 21st century Conservative Party.

Richard (msge.17). That's funny - but also unfair, as all the major parties had SOME funding from non-doms. That poster was another desperate jibe from Labour.

Msg 13

thanks for that I voted for Labour purely for the fact that I thought my vote would have been wasted on the Libs.

The test said I should have voted Lib. My hope at worst is for a Lab/Lib result.

Anyone staying up through the night watching the results come in? I am with a fridge load of beer but if I don't get my prerequisite 6 hours sleep I'll start suffering from delusions of grandeur and start thinking I've won it!

Richard: We'll be up - but not all night! Anyway, as you're 2 hours ahead of us here in the UK you'll still have to wait to catch up with the final results. All that Efes will have knocked you out well before then so no worries!

Due to the fact that 'we' are two hours ahead of you, I can tell you that the first results are already coming in!

Hi all. Conservatives have won most seats but not enough for overall majority. Labour in 2nd place but have lost a great number of previously-held seats. Lib-Dems didn't secure expected results from voters. Hung Parliament therefore exists but Libs (Clegg) have said that so long as Cameron can govern 'in the interests of the nation', he'd give the Cons. support. Labour desperately trying to broker a deal with the Lib-Dems but Brown appears to have lost his mandate to govern. Cameron is currently working on a public announcement which will be aired at 2.30 pm here in the UK. And that's the latest update.
