I was wondering if anyone could recommend from their own experience. My parents are looking to come out to TRNC later this year. My mum is 75, has a range of health problems inc. spondulitis, partially blind, high blood pressure, and is on a range of medication for them all, inc. anti depressents. They have trouble every year trying to find a company that will insure them at a reasonable price. They'll be looking to come for at least a month. They are frightened of taking the risk of travelling without any insurance - mum is always worried in case anything happens to one of them - flying her back home on her own for one, but also the high costs of flying a 'body' back home (these are the sort of things they worry about at their time of life now!) Any suggestions where they can try? Many thanks.

Pippie - there are a number of companies who specialise in travel insurance for the over 70's, so it may be worth googling this and shopping around. I fear it will be expensive, especially with pre-existing medical conditions. Good luck. J

My friends are going through some health issues at the moment whilst here on holiday and they used Age Concern for their holiday insurance and I have to say, they have been fantastic from the moment we had to contact them. Also another friend with blood pressure and a few other problems used: http://www.travelinsuranceclub.com, hope this helps

Compare all of them - do not go on price and on good advice do not assume the price comparison sites have a good product - this is what the Independant travel journalist seemed to say on day two of the ash cloud
