Monty will be a massive loss to golf probably the best player not to win a major and consistantly the best player in the Ryder cup over the last 15 yrs

I have had the pleasure of meeting Colin on a number of occasions, the last time was at Gleneagles, when I offered to swap my Ford Mondeo for his brand new Bently. He does have a wicked sence of humour when is "off duty " but is focused when working. He also has a fine appreciation of the female form. The lady he was with that night had a cleavage you could ski down, yodelling! Mighty fine for a big fat ugly guy.

In 2001 I had the pleasure of 'looking after Monty' as was involved in Security Work. I found him to be an intelligent,nice humoured man who wants to win at all costs, cant blame him as his record speaks for itselfe and I hope that as Ryder Cup Captain his players play to their undoubted potential.

Yes he and Alex Ferguson come across as grumpy gits but before chastising them check out their records. The pressure in all sports now is so great that the days of a smiling carefree sportsman are over! I notice that noone has made the same comment about another 'happy chappie' called Faldo- as Nurseawful says - is this racist!
