How sad, they only survivor a 15 yr old Dutch boy, my heart goes out to family and friends.

They're saying it could have been caused by Icelandic volcanic ash - more likely the pilot got his licence out of a packet of 'WeetBix'...........

The plane involved was an Airbus A-330 - the same type that disappeared en route from Rio to Paris.. Cyprus Airways have two of 'em on the London route and they are the best airliner flying between CY and the UK.



They aren't 'budget' airliners..



Hopefully, the reasons for the disaster will be uncovered quickly, and NOT be attributable to a design fault..

An interesting comparison between the Libyan airline and our favourite CTA is that the Libyan airline has a fleet of 13 aircraft and 300 employees. CTA has 7 aircraft and approx. 600 employees. Makes you think doesn't it!
