Time of tour: about 2:30 hours

price = it's free to attend this walking tour



The most interesting part of the tour is passing a natural tunnel which is about 60m long and 4-5meters high. The name of the tunnel is Guvercin Tuneli ( Pigeon Tunnel) - some wild pigeons nest in the tunnel.

It is not known much among locals because this walking path is recently opened.



Sinya Restaurant will serve cookies and hot&cold drinks after walking tour. The price of cookies & drinks will be about 10TL.

I know it says the "Association of Mountaineering" but how would you grade the walk? suitable for us old crocks?

Hi exmouthfire,

its moderate and only some parts of the path are a little bit hard. last time there were about 70 people both women and men, and some were over 70 years old.

its too hot here in july for walking events but association of mountaineering organize walking tours twice a month as i know but the walking tours takes place at Alevkayasi in summer period that is why Alevkayasi is more cooler than other places.

Hi Marisa,

Şinya Guest House is on the main road in Kucukerenkoy village ( about 35km east of Girne/Kyrenia). You can see the sign at the right hand side coming from west.

Booking is not necessary, but association of mountaineering don't supply any items ( boot, water, food etc).
