Best thing, do not worry about it. What happens will happen and I think along with most others Turkey will not allow KTHY just to close down, too much to loose.

I would thing a large number of us have flights booked at some point in next few months but we can do nothing about it.

Get out travel insurance and check out the details

CTA/KTHY have been technically bankrupt and on the brink of folding for as long as I have been coming to/living in the TRNC so I would not worry too much about it.

As long as you bought your tickets on a credit card you should be OK,

clayton,

What a phaff, it's a dreadful feeling not knowing whether you are travelling or not especially when you are prepared and looking forward to going. Hope you get there OK.

Personally, we have been flying through the South for a few years now because of the flight prices with CTA and the fact that we have to get to England from NI. Never had any hassles until the ash cloud last month when our BA flight was cancelled. We were going to book our flights for Wed with CTA from Manchester, but they wanted £180 each way plus we still had to pay for the Belfast/Manchester leg.

Booked with http://www.TravelRepublic.co.uk Belfast to Larnaca 28days for £234 each with Thomas Cook.

I have used quite a few different airlines flying into the North, some of which have gone out of business. My experience with C.T.A has never been a happy one, unfriendly staff, cramped conditions and unreliable service. I now use Turkish Airlines, who are completely opposite to C.T.A. Always friendly and helpful staff, plenty of room and up todate, have never let me down. My advice to anyone who wishes to fly into the North would be to consider Turkish Airlines. I do agree it would be ashame to see C.T.A go under, but they really do need to pull their socks up and get their act together.

Message 18. I agree. We always fly with THY now. They have nice new planes and are professional too.

I don't think there is much in it pricewise. CTA seems to fly on a wing and a prayer.
