What he really meant was "Our country is bankrupt and we can't afford to shore up our defences, so please can we both cut back on defence spending" |

| perhaps the turks ought to suggest that theu are going to crank up spending on military aid!......greece would go into free-fall lol suppose the issue of Cyprus will be on the agenda...but not officially! |
