When I lived in Cornwall they used to say you had to pee on a Weaver fish sting, but that was probably the Cornish taking the pee out of us Emmets.

Peeing on things as a medical treatment is as old as time itself, human urine is antisceptic. If you ever find yourself injured, cut, miles from any treatment, best course of action is to use urine to clean the wound (doesn't even have to be your own, but you might prefer if it was). Happy peeing!

There are people who drink there own urine,i will stick with lemon tea, same colour, better taste. Now Jimbo, about your weaver fish, the posts above are correct in what they say,but make sure it is not windy, you might start a water fight with your wife.

jimbo Try nappy rash cream, I don't know whether it works for the pain inflicted by weaver fish, but it certainly works for jellyfish stings. Several years ago I was stung by a jellyfish while 20m under water. it was the only thing that relieved the pain. Peeing on the sting wasn't really an option, as it was right across my face. Although, there were a few people who offered to assist!

taken from the web This is a small fish about 15 cm long. It has venomous spines along its dorsal fin. It's found quite commonly around the British Isles in warm weather. It may hide under the sand at low tide and is very well camouflaged.' Treatment 'The affected limb or wound should be immersed in water as hot as can be tolerated comfortably for 15 minutes. If this isn't possible, cover the wound with hot flannels which should be changed repeatedly. The venom is deactivated by heat and the intense pain should subside within a few minutes of treatment. Simple painkillers such as paracetamol will also help to relieve the pain, antihistamines may also be helpful.' Weaver Fish Information - courtesy of castcatchand safety.com
