A great night in Girne last night was had by all with Bobby Davro and two exellent singers from the U K plus a superb performance from the students from GAU. We need more like this in North Cyprus thanks to everyone involved for bringing it to the island and all for a good cause Children in Need.

Really enjoyed it and couldn't believe how talented the dancers were. Why don't they put on a musical here? Going to the theatre is one of the things I really miss from England. Brilliant singers just brought back the memories of seeing the shows. Great night

Any idea how many attended last night, never gonna get shows like that here if havn't got the ticket sales unless someone is prepared to loose money, were there many locals at it or was it mainly ex-pats?

Brilliant venue we were there in September 2008 at a 'rock' concert. Perfect backdrop, brilliant night. good mix of old and young, ex-pats and locals. I agree with message 7 they need to promote things like this better and give people more notice if ever going to succeed. Chris

Last night was the best entertainment I have seen here, I sat there spellbound. The GAU tango from Chicago was brilliant. Thank you to the person who put a flyer under my windscreen at Lambousa as that was the only notification I had and those I normally throw away without reading.I estimate 8 to 900 but if it had been advertised much better the venue would have been full. Lets hope evenings similar to this can be repeated. Congratulations to the organisers

I agree with all the earlier comments. The dancers from GAU should be feeling very proud they were a complete surprise and brilliant. Very enjoyable night.

I forgot to answer a question asked earlier. Yes there were Cypriots there supporting their offspring. Sadly most went when their piece was finished

Sadly I was not here last night but have heard it was great. Only realised late yesterday this was being performed and had other arrangements made. I agree with the comments on message 9 that it should have been advertised more. Well done everyone who performed.

Last nights show was really good and I particularly enjoyed the Phantom of the Opera songs. What a shame that it was not advertised weeks in advance in the papers. I read a very small article in Cyprus Today or we would have missed it too. The TRNC will not get quality acts such as these if they only half fill the venues. Where there adverts in hotel foyers ? That's always a good way of getting tourists in, 'cos I am guessing most of the audience there last night live here. It was cheap for such a show and I only hope they actually made some money for Children in Need.

well who are the promoters, i have only heard good reports and only sorry i could not be at either one. Who brought bobby here. I hear that they may have been 8 or 9 hundrend people there but parents of the gau performers left as soon as they act was finished. How many can this theatre hold. Its a great thing to do for us all here and i really hope the charity made some money, i hope we get lots more xx

Organised by mardi gras concerts , I think to do with the owner from Savoy. They did say see you next year, hopefully they will arrange another event before that http://www.mardigrasconcerts.com

I agree that the venue could have been better advertised - I reckon they would have had a full house. The singers were good and the kids loved Bobby Davro, but I thought the GAU University Students were absolutely fantastic. If they do another one next year - for those who didn't attend, remember to bring refreshments, a jacket and blanket as it got quite chilly.
