| Thank you for your kind words, marcosthechef, we look forward to greeting you. For all you new gardeners, a tip on starting your garden. Starting a garden in the mediterranean can be quite daunting, especially with all the sunshine...so here is a little tip for you... When you buy your first plants and take them home, transfer them to a LARGE pot, and try different areas of your garden...sunny spots and shady spots, and figure out where they seem to like it best. If they don't like a certain place, they will tell you by drooping and/or changing colour....this may take a few days, and trial and error will probably happen..but in the long run, it could save you a lot of money. Once you have found the right spot, commit them to the ground. Please remember that plants in pots, are completely reliant on you for water...even the cacti!! So remember to water them adequately whilst in their pots. If you come to Perova, we can give you a pamphlet for watering wisely. Fikret |

| For all you die-hard romantics..! Why not suprise your loved one with a Myrtle! This is the sacred plant of Aphrodite, and is the symbol of love and passion!! The ripe white berries, were said to sweeten the breath and also used as a spice. Also cleaned and dried Myrtle leaves would be pounded to a fine dust, and used as a type of talcum powder for babies! | We used Fikret (Perova) for supplying and fitting our air conditioning units nearly five years ago now. They made a really nice neat job. Fikret came round and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. We have had them serviced by them over the years and when we did have a fault on one of the units it was repaired promptly under warrently - no problems. |

| Just returned from our second visit this week. Well worth a visit if you haven't already been. The quality and choice are superb and the prices are the best we have found. The local ladies who work there have really put a lot of hard work into producing top quality plants......well done. To someone who has never been a gardener...I'm now adicted and I put it down to the helpful staff there who are always happy to pass on their wealth of knowledge. Thank you Perova! |

| Something to think about. Some weeds in Cyprus could be mistaken for plants, as they can be very beautiful, so why not cultivate some? If you'd like to cultivate some of these gorgeous weeds, please do it sensibly. Make sure the spot you want, is a reasonable distance away from anything else you have planted...you don't want root strangulation, and also keep it under under control, even tugging up some of the roots periodically. Give them something to twist around as they grow, like creating a rockery for them...and remember, that one mans weed, is another mans exotic plant... happy planting! Fikret |
