I've just received this email from Transit Management saying that Pegasus are starting flights from Manchester.



Pegasus have announced that they are planning to operate a new service from Manchest to Ercan on a Sunday commencing 20th June via Antalya.

Keeping my fingers crossed, but just been on the Pegasus website and can see no reference to it. Would book November to December flights if able to, but the website is still only allowing bookings from Manchester to Antalya and Dalaman. You would think there would be some details if they are hoping to start in three weeks time.

i got this news today as well



We have two items of news regarding flights to North Cyprus



1) CTA winter schedules have now been announced and are now bookable. If you intend to travel to North Cyprus for Christmas we strongly advise you to book now whilst the dates you wish to travel are available and at the best fares. Pegasus flights were announced a few weeks ago so we now have all the winter schedules for you to choose from



2) Pegasus have announced that they are planning to operate a new service from Manchest to Ercan on a Sunday commencing 20th June via Antalya. If this is of any interest to you please let us know and we will update you when there is more information.

Yea, us northerners will bring some kinda class....or should that be glass...oh and meat pies and fish chips and peas. And very soon we will get used to this electric light stuff...an' hot water coming out of taps. Don't worry we wont embarrass any one by bringing t' tin baths, and drinking tea out of a saucer.

But maybe, just maybe, we might begin to talk a load of crap after drinking ten or twelve brown ales!

Oh, and with just a bit of practise and concerted understanding, we may just be able to understand those from the south!

You may also see some Manchester City, or Everton tee shirts..........but not from me! 'cos I don't do football!!!

Flights are only to Antilia, you then have to get another flight to Ercan, either wait to the next morning for Pegasus or use Atlas or KTHY if time can match

If thats the case there are two terminals there so it looks a non starter + your visa as a non transit passenger

Pegasus are also flying from Brum as well but its too messy

With regard to Manchester Ercan Manchester - we have been trying to get Pegasus to do this and Birmingham since they started the UK routes.



They have not yet got the slots they need so can't issue flights and even their UK people do not know more than that. - Simple, no bull facts as usual.

We now know that there should be some new flights MAN ECN & ECN MAN with a drop down in Turkey - the exact details are not sure:



Service is due to Start 20 June End 26 September 2010 on Sundays only.

** If you can get me groups of 16 travellers or more IAH will try to get you great prices. These will get a group booking rate. (Hopefully that should get you talking amongst yourselves till I'm back on Tuesday!) **

just booked the manchester Ercan flights £209 return Sunday 20th June great times CTA were over £100

more expensive and to be honest you dont know if your going to go or even worst get back their situation form good sources is getting worst booked with Green Island Holidays online.

you got me a worried there so i checked it out green island said they have the bulk of seats thats why thats why they are cheaper my freind just booked for six in september @ £249 what price did you get from CTA

I Have booked through Larnaca and paid £363 for the two of us but would have booked to Ercan if we could have got it for up to £500. Had booked it last week and didn't know about Pegasus. Will book through Green Island for September.

And you have to pay another load of money from Larnaca nearly £160 more than i paid and taxi

on top of that
