If you have told Kar where you live and where they were dumped chances are if they ever do take them, they will relocate them back into your area...Shame but thats what they do. Therefore you might as well say they are yours and your neighborhoods dogs for a very long time. Good luck, hope you find homes for them.

I would suggest that you try and understand KAR's 'neuter and return' policy.

AJ I do understand it,and the facts remain if you state where you found the strays they always put them back where they were found.just stating a fact here AJ.so it seems that mother and pups would be returned within the area they were found..or have do you know otherwise.? I for one know that if i ever needed to take any strays to Kar i would not state where they were found.! simple and a lesson learnt the hard way ourselves at one time.!!

I was up at KAR on Tuesday and they are absolutely snowed under with puppies having had a much higher than normal amount of young dogs dumped on them recently. Your comment of "There's a suprise" is really not necessary. If they had the space I am sure that they would take them. Please show a little understanding of the problems and limitations that they have to work to.

It's odd that people don't seem to understand that in the same way when a hospital is full it's full and when KAR are maxed out they maxed out too.

They'd love to take them all but where would they keep them? What would they feed them and who would look after them.

They don't have limitless funds that empower them to take all-comers.

MSG 8 AND 9 I totally agree with you.

KAR do a wonderful job with very little support. Snide remarks ie 'There's a surprise' is unneccessary and shows a total ignorance of the work these VOLUNTEERS do and just how completely overcrowded their premises is at the moment.

Believe me they are full to bursting with puppies up there at the moment, there is not a cage or kennel free, hopefully they will have a shuffle round but you have to understand, that to do that, they have to move the bigger dogs into compounds which are already full and of course monitor any new dog going in one for a few days because as you know dogs are pack animals and sometimes things can turn nasty between them so they are taken out at night and put back during the day so staff can keep an eye on them. Although inconvienent that they cannot pick these up at the moment, they have not said no and I am sure will endeavor to pick them up as soon as space has become available.

I agree totally with KAR not taking any more pups or dogs if they are full.... full is full and that is it. They have a limited capacity and once that is reached... nuff said. Very sad but that is the way it is.

Get Real!!!!!!! If they are full there is nothing they can do

- unless a load of people on here who don't have dogs go and get one, then there will be room for these dogs - worth a thought!!!

The husky is the grey kind with the lovely blue eye's and the 4 pup's are not pure husky but a couple have the blue eye's, we have fed them all but she need's a lot of building up as she is quite thin the pup's aren't too bad. My telephone number is 05338347053. If not I have a friend who goes on the forum she may be able to send them from her computer, but won't see her untill Monday. just had 4 kittens dumped on us .all have infections in their eyes and need looking after. Took them to the vets, got cream for their problem and need feeding. we have already 8 cats and a dog which we feed and care for .

Not bad to say we live in a second floor apt. When they get to age we will pay for their neutering like we did for all the others. We have little income but we love all of them.

Please do your bit for the animals.

I have a question

If KAR have a policy of Neuter and return, then how comes there are so many puppies....surely the birth of puppies should be decreasing NOT increasing......

Hi Jamestalbot, if you for any reason cannot take the dog in question 1, Kar were very good in taking in a starved young hound bitch that I found tied to a olive tree.. She has been neutured, wormed and is being fed up to regain her weight before being put back to where she was found.

Please, if any one wants a beautiful looking dog, who was so loving and trusting, she is at Kar.... Who I think do such a great job, it must be very demoralising to get calls they simply cannot do anything about...

Yes KAR do have a neuter and return policy BUT many of the locals do not get their dogs neutered or speyed because they don't agree with it and are quite happy to let their dogs breed and then dump the pups up the centre(when the centre is closed I hasten to add) and then the dog in question becomes pregnant again etc, etc, etc. An uphill battle.

there is a rescue centre in Nicosia that may be able to help. Do not have contact number but Pertev does. May be some kind soul will take to this bitch and/or her puppies. Please stop knocking KAR, they do their absolute best and if they are full, they are full.

was not a comment aimed at you Dizzy but I get really fed up with folks who think KAR is the answer to everything. They are really good but can only do what they can do.

FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD - WILL YOU GET OFF KAR's CASE......

They are a dumping ground for the TRNC's problems that no one wants....

Perhaps if you wingers did more time donating/helpng up there, they wouldn't have the problems that they have......

I for one think that they do a sterling job and deserve a pat on the pat....
