Level 1 Power Boat courses

This course is an introduction to boating techniques for launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipments.



Assumed knowledge: None

Duration: Depends on how many person on board and your needs

Minimum age: 12

Course content: Launch and recovery

Preparation of boat and crew, boat handling, picking up and securing to a mooring buoy, leaving and coming alongside, high speed manoeuvres, man overboard recovery and regulations..

Ability after the course: Self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of craft



Motor Boat Cruisers & Yacht Courses

Contents: Boat preparation, boat handling, types of craft, engines and drives, engine operation and maintenance, safety and seamanship, rules of the road, securing to a buoy, berthing, man overboard recovery
