I thought KAR was full? There was a post on here yesterday from someone wanting to buy a German Shepherd, perhaps they will take her. Good luck.

If the original owner brought the dog from the U.K. what was wrong in taking it back with him.

Cammy, one has to ask why the owner brought the dog over at the age of 2 and is now abandoning it at the age of 4 - and why you have taken on the responsibility of re-homing it. I notice your age - should the owners have been within your age group, they must have KNOWN there was every chance they wouldn't be remaining, in which case it was self-indulgent and thoughtless to bring the animal to add to the pool of feral or unwanted or abandoned pets. Shame on them leaving the dog to you to sort out, and sad you took that on, instead of saying - no - damn well sort this problem out yourself. I KNOW everyone has mitigating circumstances, but don't for one minute believe EVERYONE had NO idea they may not stay for the duration of their pet's life.........this has to stop

I'm afraid it reads as though the dog has been simply dumped on you, for you to deal with the problem. Nice people, your 'friends' - how convenient for them!

Perhaps Cammy is assuming that if they cannot home the german shepherd by midday tomorrow that all they have to do ring KAR! I don't think so, if it was as easy as that then we would'nt have a problem over here would we.

Thanks Liz. Really has made my day that our friend's have taken Mia. They had hoped to bring their own German Shepherd with them but after a lot of heart searching they decided due to its age and other factors it would be better off staying with their son's in the UK. I can honestly say there have been lots and tears and heart ache on their behalf and they desperately miss him but know they made the right decision not to bring him. As soon as I spotted the post I rang them. They were out for a drive so I rang the couple who are caring for the dog to get a bit more information. Contary to some of the comments posted, this couple have not been dumped with their friend's dog. I am aware of the circumstances why the original owner cannot return and also the reason why they cannot get the dog back to the UK. I am not willing to post the reasons as I do not feel it is my business to but if it were to be made public knowledge I am sure members would be more understanding.

Speaks for itself that ALWAYS with animals needing a new home in five minutes - usually to be re-homed by someone other than the owner - we never hear the reasons, just coy or ambiguous statements telling us if we only knew, we would understand.........people aren't daft - this isn't MI5 - no way could it ALWAYS be an insurmountable problem with no time whatsoever beforehand to sort out one's obligations.............Just saying...........

Hi all, Would just like to say a big thank you all who sent best wishes, the dog has now been placed with a new loving couple and I hope they have a great life together. As for the other PEABRAINS that love to slag people off, I hope someday that they will need a friend and no one turns up. To answer the question about KAR, yes they are full to the brim with cats and dogs pre arrangments had been for the dog due to other dogs being re-homed on Monday. As for Ms Garnet, best thing you could do is shut your mouth ( thats if you can for by the sounds of it it's big enought to swallow the whole of the TRNC )
