Dump the male flight attendants. No one wanted them in the first place. Replace all the female flight attendants with good-looking strippers! What the hell, they don't even serve food anymore, so what's the loss? The strippers would at least triple the alcohol sales and get a 'party atmosphere' going in the cabin. And, of course, every businessman in this country would start flying again, hoping to see naked women. Because of the tips, female flight attendants wouldn't need a salary, thus saving even more money. I suspect tips would be so good that we could charge the women for working the plane and have them kick back 20% of the tips, including lap dances and 'special services.'

Why save it at all? It is just a business, if it goes bust it goes bust. Another airline will step in eventually, Geoff

Hi ttoli - you could be on to something here. What a terrific idea - I wonder if other airlines read the forum - 'cos it could spread...

Peter Back to thread, (audio not so good but you can play!) so, how to save CTA with new innovative ideas based on Msg1 concept. How about this arriving and departing song, a once banned song on a banned non-stop airline! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHiMDB19Dyc Richard

Geoff msg 4 - a little callous? KTHY, not just a business it for a long time was / is the only way to North Cyprus that has kept going. It has it's faults but it would be badly missed. If it does go down not only will there not be enough seats to/from the island but many people in the UK and the TRNC will be without a job and that would include many staff in UK tour operators who serve the island too.

Get Willie Walsh in there!! I totally agree with this guy and am so fed up of British Airways - union (still living in the 60s now want free air travel reinstated for the ones that went on strike so they can call a stop, oh sorry, delay, strike action...) If you go on strike when you are paid more than any other airline when the UK is in dire straights, you blinkin well deserve to lose your 'perks'. After all, these are not 'free flights' - we the passengers are paying for them at the end. And the second in charge of the Union has not worked a full year for - how long?? Doesn't matter though, he gets his union pay and 'sick' pay..... If you are a union member and want to shoot me down, make sure your aim is 100% - unions have brought the UK down to its knees, and they still think there's room for more????

I just do not understand the mentality of the unions. The world is just coming out of recession with businesses going to the wall every day. Like CTA, strike action could bring BA to it's knees and then they will all be out of a job. Surely better to have a job with fewer perks and a bit less pay than no job at all !! Alas, the unions don't appear to be able to see the wood for the trees. Paul

Brinsley, love the vid but bet she is not so cute now, she must be in her 50/60s now, not that we can be that choosey nowadays (50s you wish dude) The only way to sort this airline is to get someone with qualifications to run an airline, some one like Stelios Haji-wotshisface or Tony Rian or even Freddie Laker

Msg 17 Back to Msg 1, why get rid of the stewards? At least the girls will be safe or maybe even the boys! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GM5gCwVk15s Freddie Laker is dead, brought to his knees unfairly by BA. However, I'd love to have a crack at bringing CTA around into profitability! Richard

KTHY is a dead man walking, they just don't know it yet.... Only solution is dismemberment. There is no way given the history of the company to turn it around... if you did, you'd only be facing the wrong direction again...
