After watching Englands warm up matches how well will they do when it starts for real, I think they are looking a bit tired and will struggle against some of the better teams

Going by the last 2 games you would think we have no chance - but these friendlies rarely give you an insight into how well the team will perform when the tournament begins. All the players are trying to hard to impress - come the day and eleven men are standing on a pitch against eleven men - all playing for the same thing. We have been superb in qualifying - and if it takes a bit of luck along the way, like a couple of own goals from our opponents, to win it then so be it (most teams need that). I think we'll do ok - quarter or semi-finals - but with a bit of luck who knows!!!!

The friendlies are just a ploy to lull the rest of the teams into a false sense of security

england were blinding in the qualifiers so i cant understand why the manager is now messing about with the squad at this late stage, have faith in the players that got us there . for one he should name his number one and give him some confidence, 2 he always said if a player was not fully fit he would not consider them so barry should not even be considerered along with king, 3 why play rooney in both frendlies when he has a persistant knee problem and has just got over ankle and groin problems , surely he is the first choice striker and at the moment should be wrapped up in cotton wool , with out him england have no cuttin edge, 4 we have no natural ball winner that played in either of the frendlies surely parker must be the best choice to sit in front of the back four to protect them if barry is crocked ,if barry is that important why didnt no one play that role in the frendlies. come on england lets do the bizz, i am seriously worried we will be all disappointed yet again

eboy..............i agree about Barry .....if he can't play in the friendlies then surely he is not fit ! Also Rooooooney should be rested , he is the obvious choice up front. the rest of the squad is open for discussion but whoever the manager picks is HIS choice of bringing success to England, i think we will do well . It's all about getting the balance right ,and if Capello can do that , then i think we have a real good chance of winning the competition. remember we play a completely different game to most of the nations, that is what won us the final in 66 . We will , of course have the best support in the finals so let us get behind our nation for once and spur them on to victory.!! Come on England !!!

Capello has declared his reasons for what is being characterised as 'playing about' above, he is indeed playing about.... Seeing who is in good nick, which younger players may be called upon and not freeze like rabbits in the headlights when asked to fill the boots of one of his first choice players... I hope England do well but history tells us our expectations are likely to founder on bad refereeing or some other rush of blood to the head... Bring on the sports psychologist to settle the players into a 'playing just for the sheer fun of it' temperament and let's hope we stop trying to walk the ball into the net...

arrry........ after seeing the final 23 i can not belive we are yet again taking 2 players to a world cup that can not prove there fitness and sending fully fit players back home , ,fabio has gone against his principles, also i was listerning to harry rednapp ontalk sport tonight and said scott parker had been superb in the whole 2 weeks in austria yet has not even been given one minute in either frendly. it seems to me some of the 30 have not been given a fair chance to stake a claim , so much for picking the form players . cappelo has gone down in my expectations ,would any body out there like to name a natural ball winner in the 23 ? we have none. nobby styles ,david batty, brian robson ,peter reid could all break down play . all the main threats in the competion have ball winners fabregas macherano , who will protect our back 4. Bad move Fabio.

2 chances - and the best is none! Great manager, over rated players, over rated media hype (surprise) and huge egos. A perfect combination. ABE for sure
