Building on Karsiyaka beach has started as you stand facing the sea on the left hand side behind the wire fence, How can we find if permission has been given to build so close to the beach? Can anything be done about it? Does any one in authority care the natural beauty and recourses are being trashed ? It is only a few meters from nesting turtles!!

Any idea what is being built?? Since the turtles are monitored on the Alagadi beach (think that's the name?), would they also be monitored on the Karsiyaka beach or not???? Might be worth contacting the turtle people to alert them to this development, maybe they can look into it and help find out who is doing what and with any luck help stop it?? They have, I understand, contacts in various government departments so surely somebody out there knows something. Maybe your local Muchtar chap might know?? Definitely needs to be brought to the attention of the authorities. If it is legit and has permission that's one thing, although way too close to nature to be sensible (sorry forgot where I was talking about for a minute) but if its not legit, then it needs to be stopped. Good luck.

Preliminary enquirys reveal it was to be another beach bar but the Muchter has stopped it, as the area is designated for a housing for a water pipeline from Turkey.
