I have an old wooden and sea grass chair like the ones you sea in some old cafes etc. However the bottom bit which is the sea grass bit is now not safe to sit down on as the seagrass has rotted with age. Does anyone know where I could have this chair repaired

If you fancy a run out to Guzelyurt ( market day Saturday) there is a chap there in the main town, on the one way system - easy enough to find. Specialises in repair and supply of this type of chair, prices reasonable.

To save you going to Guzelyurt - go to 'Ronnies Furniture', who will take it to their man in Lefkosa. As this man is continually working for them, it's bound to be cheaper than a 'one-off'. You need to make sure that the framework of the chair is sound and it should be re-varnished, or re-oiled prior to refurbishment of the covering.
