hi all,going to cyprus(kyrenia) 30th july for 1 week was just wondering if anybody can help with recommendations as to were you can have a meal and be entertained? thanks to all

The Tree of Idleess in Bellapais do a Turkish night every Saturday with live music, Belly Dancing etc. Bit touristy but quite good fun...

So where there is a sign advertising music on a particular night, my trade goes elswhere.

The TIME Machine perform at the Fez every Saturday, you need to book in advance i have been 3 times and it is always full. It is a superb show.

lovely log fire type thingy going on .



then bang on came a certain "singer" and trapped me inside the restraunt.



the din was just not my bag at all



i couldnt wait to get out .

My girlfriend plays acoustic music at the Stonegrill and Carpenters in Karaoglanoglu, Frescos in Alsancak. You should go try it!!

I would recommend Stonegrill Restaurant where you can cook your own food too!!

If you like karaoke, Elvis and cruise liner entertainment you'll be in your element all over the island. Far too middle of the road for us and never been in a place so lacking musically. Still there's other good reasons to be cheerful. Now there's an entertainer and a half Bring on Ian Dury||||

Hi, every Thursday there is live music at the Old Grapevine in Kyrenia, on the Coloney hotel road, happy hour between 6-8pm on drinks, and the food is fantastic. A good idea to book, as we are reasonably busy on this particular night. 0533 864 4200

We tried to book the Fez last week for Saturday's Time Machine Show and it was booked out. As a result they are now doing a Friday nite show as well till the end of the season. Not only is the entertainment great, the food is fantastic. And if you like Elvis, check out Gazzas new outfit, complete with golf shoes.........

Went to Pia Bella last night for the first time. It's a hotel in Girne. Great place and fantastic entertainment by Johnnie Hawkins. A real professional showman. I think it is 9:30 every Wednesday out in the gardens. Free entry and cheap drinks. Well worth a visit to enjoy swing music.

I have seen the swing show too. It's superb ...a very classy kind of night, but very relaxed too. I am told that the food at the Pia Bella is very good as well.



Also, the fab Anna is playing every Thursday at the Retro bar - not sure if you can get food there but if it's entertainment you want, she's fantastic. Her style has evolved so much recently and she has a top notch guitarist with her. I think she starts at 10pm.
