here's a clue, customs still have mine!!

Yes, same rules, don't go there.

Unless of course it is a classic, then you need to join the clasic car club to get it in, thay are very helpful and can arrange things with customs.

What bike is it??

Hi Bri24001

Whats the prob getting the bike released? if you need any help give me a nod, a good friend of mine is well versed in the customs routine with bikes and will be able to help, so long as its not over the 3 years.

Thanks Craig,

It's well over the 3 years, in fact a 1978 XT500 in peices, bought it in boxes from a mate who had bought it 10 years earlier in boxes, needs a full restore, however, because I hadn't 'owned it' for 5 years prior to shipping, has to come in as a classic, so need membership of the Classic Club (120 quid) etc, etc, so decided at this point to call, it a day, I have the expensive parts still as they were in a seperate box.

Thanks anyway, might be on the lookout for another bike at some point.

Have seen a few old small Suzukis running about, might try to get one of those as a project.

Cheers,

Brian

Hi Bri, Sorry to hear about he XT would have been an excellent bike for out here. I have a 400 Honda Falcon very similar to the Honda XL 250s, excellent for the mountain trails, just done a tour of the mountains above Alanya Ispata and arround Fetiyee, had a great time. If your after a renovation job I'll keep an ear to the ground

The same year restrictions apply to motorcycles as well as cars.

The rates of duty as obtained from TRNC embassy in UK are as follows: calculated on the Glass's Guide middle value

Engine CC From EU From other countries

125-250 49.96% + 575$ 79.86% + 575$

250+ 49.96% + 575$ 70.09% + 575$
