Does anyone use the Turkcell modem card which slots into your laptop and gives you wireless connectivity to the internet?



Or does anyone know if this is available in North Cyprus?

Hi,

I tried the Turkcell card recentlu and it works ok, if rather slowly. It is, however, mega expensive as it seems to be charged per second at mobile phone rates. I used to have a Telsim card in Turkey which gave unlimited Internet access for around YTL 75 per month which was fine, but that system is not available so far in the TRNC. We have opted for a wireless connection via a dish on the roof, and we are sharing the monthly subscription with our neighbours. The installation was YTL 350, and we pay YTL 89 per month.

dial up with kibris online is much cheaper. thats if you can get a phone line!
