when turned on it cuts off it's been repaired several months ago with the same problem

if I remember the problem was over heated

your correct it has overheated and the solder has melted you can reflow it yourself with a paint stripper heat gun. In the uk they charge £60 ish to repair suprised it has gone again after being repaired as build up of dust is normally the reason for overheating good luck

it hasnt been used since repairing by dixons

about six months ago

it became a spare one and brought it to lapta and after about 6 hrs play it has repeated the problem

i prefer someone with a bit of skill, myself i am useless and don't have a paint stripper heat gun

at least we have now an idea

My PS3 has suffered from the 3.30 update wont play game, dvd or music discs.

Goes online ok, can use another hard drive through USB

Can you do anything with this
