I have an applemac bookpro less than a year old, which has become slower and slower. Can anyone advise what will speed up my connection. The internet is working ok so it must be my laptop. My partners laptop is fine but she defrags on hers and not sure how I do that on a mac. Any help would be appreciated.

ho Jonathan, I've just bought a Mac myself and I'm still learning about it. I'll ask some of my friends in the UK and see what I can find out. Rich

First open your Mac for full exposure, then a coupla three squirts of 'KY Jelly' mixed up with a firkin of 'Viagra' should improve performance!

As far as I am aware, there has been no necessity to defrag a Mac since about 2002. Don't understand any of the technicalities but something to do with the way they store information apparently.

The Mac sorts itself out overnight, you need to leave it on overnight around 1x week. There is also something you can download for free called 'macjanitor' so if you forget, it does everything for you. It's perfectly safe - just google it.

You can delete some of unnecessary programs on your software.. I have an apple mac myself.. It works fine.. If you have loads of programs on, it may be slowing down your process. Kind regards Cemaliye
