It's cheap but risky, done it several times but if you are in an accident, you are up shit's creek without a paddle and you will need to buy TRNC insurance at the border crossing. http://www.economycarrentals.com/

Hi I have used ecomny car rentals loads of times and have never had a problem with them or at the border. You have to get insurance at the border but no problems there either. Cars have in my experience have been better too. Naas26

The question you should be asking Has anyone been involved in an accident / incident and what was their experience. Like most things until it happens nobody really knows the true and we can all assume this and that. And what happens if its a serious accident do you have to pay for the car to be recovered etc etc?

have rented from the south many times with no problems you have to make sure that the company will let you go to the north and if you are involved in an accident you have to arrange for the car to be returned to the south

Message 3 and 13 - Yes, if you look at the Terms and Conditions they do allow you to take their cars over the border, subject to insurance and if you do break down/accident, then it will become your responsibility to get the car back to the south. Regards
