Residents who want to make up a association to run there block of apartments ect, must form commitee with proper book, this must have signed voting letter from all residents or letter to explain they dont want to vote, and must register this book with the noter and go to the tapu i think also, they must have a majority for, then they can employ a company to look after there apartment complex or block on proper contract, some developers have contracts that say the developer company will supply the maintenance peoples so in this case residents association is no use, they can make one but they cant change without the develpoers aggrement or buy out the maintenance peoples. I think mebee elko will help more on this one.

Jo thanx for pushing this to the top and Ishmail thank you for that information. I hope there are more people prepared to share knowledge on this we have a few issues at our new development that need sorting. Surely all other developments have R A 's we need to get our up and running in the correct format.

Well thinking about it - perhaps then the setting up of a residents association is not as formal as we first thought. I do remember A & D in NC telling us that they had lived on developments in NC before. They might be best qualified to advise us. Just a thought!!! But I do agree with Rocky (on another post) that with residents spread across the globe, it's definitely a mellon scratcher - so sorry the east end in me just came out then.

Rocky, have you tried http://www.Bogaz.info site. There has been discussion on their forum before regarding Residence Ass/Comm. Have a look under "General" then page 29, two discussions "Forming a Committee" and Hilltop-Residence Ass./Comm.

If not join, then ask someone on there, they may be able to help you to get a bit further with helping you. Regards Dalar
