Big delays checking in at Ercan - CTA?

Mrs Groucho has just phoned to say that there are huge delays checking in at Ercan apparently caused by a takeover bid for CTA... (KTHY)



Don't know how much is true but if it is, maybe it's a good sign.



Take-over, strip down the staffing levels and get it onto a proper budget airline business model.

We flew back Monday on the 08:30 Heathrow flight



The check-in was a shambles, and the plane landed over 3 hours late (Tailwinds plane)



It seems like the whole airport was having a mass sulk



7tl for a can of coke once you were stuck in the departure area



It's about time the whole TRNC state airline industry was given a massive kick up the ass into the 21st Century

I'm sure this problem will be a temporary one. Until recently Ercan was a super airport, much better than Larnaca or Paphos. Incidentally the new Larnaca terminal is no better than the old one, and the parking on busy days such as Wednesday or Sunday just as bad as it used to be. I saw someone off from there last wednesday - chaos. Belive me, even with current probs Ercan knocks spots off LCA.
