| I bought a villa in The TRNC, as we loved the country. We entered a contract to purchase and met all our contractrual obligations. We paid 100% of our legal requirements in March 09. After the usual attempt to rip off a few thousand pounds extra, we finally agreed a settlement with the builder, and on 9th March 2010 this money was paid to our Advocate. We subsequently sent the money for transfer taxes and KDV. We were assurred that nothing else could go wrong. Two weeks later we were advised that a memorandum for £80K had been lodged against our deeds and therefore they could not be transferred into our name. We were further advised that the property could be taken to auction, and sold to meet the builders debts. |

| Well worded, logical and reasonable letter to the President. Send it to all the newspapers to make it stick out to all - all means including Kibris and other Turkish language papers as this is not just an Ex Pat thing.. Good Luck, it is only the power of the press that will get you anywhere - they work for free by selling the "Bad News" that is all newspapers use to sell papers. |
