... Then click on the ‘Streamplayer2 logo’ (blue circle play button) and click ‘ok’. You will see the channel list for the german channels – on the white part of the screen, under the channels, ‘right click’ and then select “extra config”. Change the ‘very user id’ to “1031584” and change the ‘very pass’ to “7177”. Close the application and then re-open it. Then choose which channel list you want (i.e. English) and then click on a channel. Some will open in VLC and some will open in Windows Media player. Any problem with the UK channels - ‘right click’ on them and there are some alternatives that might work. Keep the British TV application on your desktop for UK TV as it works well and is a good back up. Cheers, G NOTE: At time of writing 'MOST' channels are working for me including the main UK channels. Some of the lesser known UK channels are down.

juliamoons - I don't see any reason why you can't download the English version. However this is the link I use, which I know works, and it makes no difference using the non-English version. Stellasstar1 - No problem, glad you like it. There's no reason to change to the new one other than the fact that it has 300 channels (British only TV has 40). However, If you do download the new one I would keep British TV as well... if one is having problems then hopefully the other one will work. No probs Brian - glad you like it! Brend - Not sure whether it will work on Mac - I will look in to that for you. Or maybe the best thing is to give it a try and see if it works!! GENERAL NOTE: If the channels go down on either British TV or Streamplayer2 (which can happen with new software like this) then please come back here as I will publish a fix as soon as it's available. Cheers, G

Wiser - you need a program like winrar: http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-32-bit/3000-2250_4-10007677.html Once you have this you will be able to open the rare file. You will see in there '3 files' - highlight them all, right click, and the extract (make sure you select desktop as the place to extract to). GOOD LUCK!! Ian - hope you didn't spend that whole hour looking at the adult channels!!! steveafc - glad you have it working mate. Enjoy everyone, G

To the Mac user. This is unlikely to work on a Mac unless you have a PC emulator because .exe files will not run on a Mac. This is a deliberate action by Apple because the .exe format is what allows so many of the PC virus to work. Not having this capabiililty on the Mac is what helps keep us healthy.

stevefc - that is a problem with internet TV. When lots of people from all over the world watch the same thing you can get some lagging. This is the same even with paid for sites or official ITV, BBC websites watching in the UK. Because everyone is watching the same stream it can put a strain on it and this has been highlighted by the world cup. Unlike a p2p application where the more that watch the stronger it gets. However, things can only get better - and in the future we will ALL watch TV this way. But hey-ho - the stuff I am giving you guys is free, so please enjoy!!! Cheers, G

Hi FulhamFan - just tried ALL channels on brit TV and they are ALL working for me here. I'm also getting the CID AND PID message on Streamplayer - I will see if there is a fix for that. But the alternate channels on Streamplayer seem ok. "Right click" the channel and select Alternate 1 or 2!!! Sk1tman - Ideally 1mg+ but it depends on the speed of the particular stream. Steveafc - downloading a film and watching streamed TV. Maybe with a 20mg BT connection that would be ok!! Just for those that don't know, if the picture is lags or keeps buffering make sure you are not connected to msn, skype, outlook or any other back ground applications - they all use up bandwidth!!! Cheers, G

As I said - really you need a 1mg+ speed to watch most of the streams. It allso helps to close all other applications - all the time you have things like Skype, MSN, outlook etc. connected it is using bandwidth. steveafc - what an awful game that was last night eh. It was just shameful to watch and I just don't see what Capello is going to do before Wednesday that will improve us. Where has his tactical know-how gone since the qualifyers??? :o( Maimee - glad you got it working. 67 English channels... how many more do you want??? Ian I should have a fix for the other main channels soon, but the alternatives should keep you all happy for now. Fulhamfan and everyone else - glad you enjoy it!! G

steveafc - do Telsim do an unlimited package on 3G? What package you using to allow you to download films and watch TV? Zerochlor - "right click" on the UK channels and choose one of the alternatives - you will need VLC to watch these though. Cheers, G

Hi everyone, I have a new pass for you so the direct channels will work on streamplayer2 - When you open 'streamplayer2' you will see the channel list for the german channels – on the white part of the screen, under the channels, ‘right click’ and then select “extra config”. Change the ‘very user id’ to “1031376” and change the ‘very pass’ to “9049”. CLICK SAVE! Go to the 'English' channel list a just click on teh cghannel you want - it should open in WMP. Good luck, G

Hi, well thought I would give it another go, by deleting it all and starting again, but still just the same. When I click on to Fix I get Open or Save, neither gives me anything to extract. What should I be doing once Open or Save come up. I know it's basic, but help please. I can still watch the channels on the other dowload given to us, but can't get BBc1 or 2 after about 4.30, thought this may be better

There's no fix for the UK channels on Streamplayer as yet - adult channels and some other channels should be working ok. However I have just given you the new channel list for the British TV application on the other thread: http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/38056.asp All channels working ok on British TV Cheers, G

Hi guys, Sorry about that - too much demand meant that link reached it's limit quickly!!! Try http://uktv.punchservers.com/britishtv-windows.zip for British TV channle list, Streamplayer UK channels still down... Cheers, G

Hi, This is a good one!! Download the file below and then "extract" the UKTV.xspf file to your desktop. http://www.myp2pforum.eu/attachment.php?attachmentid=1773&d=1277504760 Then open VLC player (you can get this at http://download.cnet.com/VLC-Media-Player/3000-13632_4-10267151.html if you don't have it yet) and simply left click on the xspf file - 'hold' - and then drop the file onto the VLC player. It will probably open BBC1 automatically which you can just close. Then on VLC player click on the 'view' tab and then click on "playlist" in the dropdown menu. You will then see a list of about 70-odd channels - INCLUDING the LQ versions of BBC and ITV for those of you with a lower bandwidth. BBC1LQ is working perfectly at the moment with a brilliant picture - just in time for the England v Germany match this afternoon!!!! ENJOY, G

Jovial and lapta girl - once you have registered you should be able to go back to the link above and then 'log-in' using your new log-in details. This should give you the zip-file to save to your desk top. Still can't do it? - If you email me quickly on georgem592@gmail.com I will email you the .xspf file if you like. I'm going out in an hour so you'll need to be quick!! Glad you like it Graham. G

Hi George I hope you don't think this is too much of a liberty but things are getting desperate here in Tenerife. Both UKTV2 and British TV are not responding and my wife is getting "Eastender's withdrawal symptoms". I've followed your instructions for StreamPlayer2 but when I click on a channel a message appears - "either routine down or you need new username and password for ???????.com" and both Alternatives 1 & 2 won't connect to anything - the vlc message says "VLC is unable to open the MRL". Any ideas as my wife is starting to look for a flight back home? Kind regards, Trevor Needham. p.s. If you have time to email me direct I would be grateful but I'll keep looking on the forum.

If you're still in trouble with the download ...... wherever the fix.rar file is, right click on it and a drop down menu should appear. Method 1 - If there is an option called "Exract here" click on that. Three new items called "logos" , "Streamplayer2.exe" and "Streamplayer2.exe.Config" will appear. Right click on each one in turn and on the drop down menu go to "Send to", this will open another menu where one of the items is called "Desktop (create shortcut)", click on that and a copy of each of the files will have been sent to the desktop. Minimise all open programs until you can see the desktop with new icons for "logos shortcut", "Streamplayer2.exe" and "Streamplayer2.exe.Config" The Streamplayer2.exe should have a blue circle with a white arrow in it, click on that to open the program. Method 2 - If when you right click on fix.rar you might get an option called "Extract to" with this you have to define where you want to unzip the file to. I'll do Method 2 on a follow up reply ..

Stella I hope Method 1 made sense as I had to shorten it a bit. Method 2 - If when you right click on fix.rar you get a drop down menu with "Extract to" on it click "Extract to" and (I'm doing this from memory) you shold get a message box with the PC "family tree" layout, this lets you decide where to extract the file to. On the left hand side, you may have to go "up" or "down" the menu you should see "Computer" and underneath it "Local Disk C:". Click on "Local disc C:" and another part of the "family tree" should appear either on the right or below "Local Disk C:", there should be a file called "Users" hightlight this file with a soft left click. Somewhere in the message box there should be a button called "Save" click on that and the three files in Method 1 will have appeared. Minimise all programs ang go to Start>(My) Computer>Local Disk (C > and click on "Users" and the three files should be there. Do what I described to send them to the desktop. If you have no luck email me.

TNTenerife, re your 'smiley face' - you've accidentally hit upon the shorthand code for a smiley on this forum - a colon - ':' followed by a right-hand bracket ')' with no gaps in-between, gives If you want to avoid doing it, leave a gap between the colon and bracket, thus: - ( C: )

StreamPlayer2 is old and most of the streams in it will no longer work. StreamPlayer wasn't really written to just watch tv streams from either. It was designed mainly as a tv player that you enter your own streams to. Now StreamPlayer can play streams, open web pages and other apps by clicking the buttons. There is a new StreamPlayer3 out now and new flash tv players also. I usually test all of the new options when the admin writes them into the program so I'm very familiar with StreamPlayer. I also put a copy of the one I use up for download that is already set up for people to download and use. If anyone is interested in them they can go to the forum below and join as a member and get them for free. I am a moderator there and all of you are welcome. http://abdre3000.lifeme.net/forum.htm

You are very welcome. My copy I put up has a lot of english channels in it and is the one that has the option to change the background of the gui. It's located at the url below in the second post of the thread. There is a screenshot of it too. http://abdre3000.lifeme.net/sp3java-net-f4/own-playlists-t30.htm

If you are using StreamPlayer2 just delete the files for it if you don't have new streams to put in it or user/passwords. They expire fairly quick and the copy of SP2 you have is as old as dirt now. There is a new StreamPlayer3 out now that has working streams in it. SP wasn't made by the author with the idea of giving a large amount of working tv streams out. He really just added some as an example for people to learn how to enter theirs in it and use it. The new forum for it is below and you are welcome to join and get the new program. You do need to take the time to read up on it and learn more about it if you plan on keeping and using it. It has changed quite a bit since SP2. http://abdre3000.lifeme.net/
