If you can stretch to Lapta I can thoroughly recommend the Veni Vici restaurant. First class.

why would you go to a restaurant that has to plead/beg for custom? Guidos - been there - won't go back. Give 'em what they want and it might just work.

The Chef isn`t grumpy either.

Trooper , that's in your opinion . There is no need to be offensive to people trying to make a living , i don't see that as begging or pleading at least they are working to keep their business going , and all credit to them for that

Veni Vici - never again! Food too salty, warm welcome but that is the last you see of anyone. Service was atrocious and they only had two tables to serve. Had a lovely meal and service was good first time round but don't know if I would go back again and would not recommend to anyone. Sorry

Please don't go to set italian restaurant, they dropped my dinner- (heard the crash, ) and scraped it up off the floor into another dish, How do i know, because the first mouthful I took was a piece of the prevoius ceramic plate. obviously ruined the night, and no discount given! I recomend Guidos- for friendliness and superb food or 'Sabor' ( italian/spanish) in Lefcosia - for fabulous tapas and scenery. Enjoy!

My opinion.

Sabor is very good but high drinks prices.

Guidos is very average and I would not bother going again.

Veni Vici is highly recommended for excellent food and ambience.

Veni Vici for me everytime. Great pasta dishes and not too expensive.

From Kyrenia, just before you hit the Lapta straight on your left.

If you want a special place the go to Girne, some of the eating places above have no real views, just fast traffic!

Veni Vici has ex food, very comfortable seating, and a little sea view, but if you want somewhere nice go to Girne....

situated on a car park

over priced ( in my opinion)

som one tends to get tipsy towards the end of the evening

the victim mentality is wearing a bit thin now

angora 20 tl a bottle less a few doors away hardly represents value for money

He is a DECENT ENOUGH CHEF

Pastamania for me.

Really good food. Mustafa who owns the place and is the head chef had a Pasta restaurant in Australia for over 20 years, so he has had plenty of experience.

From Karaoglanoglu take the Karmi road. About 800 mtrs on left.

good morning bernies mess. 36 i was very shocked to find that you manage to buy in another restaurant a bottle of angora at 4 tl according to you. my angora is sold for 24tl, most good restaurant sell it at 25-26 tl. i think is about time i answer your continuing insulting and offending of my wife and my restaurant. I dont know if i ever met you so i cannot see why you keep having a go at us. have you ever dined in my restaurant? was your meal not to your taste? why you did not talk to me or my staff if somenthing was wrong?. because if i go to a restaurant and somenthing is not to my sadisfaction i have the guts to talk to the owner/manager and put my point accross. i would like to invite you back to my restaurant at your convinience and i am willing to sit with you over a drink or a meal offer by me and disguss your problems with me, but then again people that hide behind a computer they normally have no guts to face a real person. they just like to damage, insult or worse. continue

i am sick and tired of you attitude torward my lilli, so i will like you and your friends that tend to insult my wife to come to see me, i would be more than happy to face all of you, even together, but then again it would be only one idiot to sort out and trust me i resolved situations lot worse than this in my time. you using this board to insult, offend and abuse people that are trying to make a living and trust me here is not easy. please call me before comming to guido's so i can make sure i give you the time you deserve. my number is 0533 8730156. look forward to your reply.

Guidos for us for all the qualities listed in post 6 and that they always go ot of their way to make sure that you have an enjoyable meal. The fact that it is situated on the road does not, in my opinion, detract from that. I have good sea and mountain veiws from my terrace so if that is all I wanted, I would cook at home. However, "you can't please all of the people all of the time" and if we all liked the same thing, I wouldn't be able to get a table so 'vive la differance' (with appologies for spelling).

Guido I have been to your restaurant a few times although other than a passing word never really spoken to you or your wife. I admire the sentiments in your message above but to be honest I think you are wasting your time. By even acknowledging the people you are referring to you are giving them a certain amount of satisfaction. I don't live on the island nor do I know any of the people involved but they are clearly a sad bitter group who lack intelligence. Unfortunately, I tend to steer clear of ex-pats. I know you shouldn't tar everybody with the same brush but too many come across as whinging whining group of blue rinses with too much time on their hands. No doubt they left the Uk because they weren't widely liked at home. Chip on their shoulder in the Uk and now a chip on their shoulder here. We all know the types. it's no coincidence that the decent ex-pats I met rarely used this forum.

Mr Guido

no I have not eaten at your place yet ! piza king a few doors away sells the same angora wine at 18 tl per bottle

6tl or jut over £2.50 per bottle less

as for you tirade about your lillie no one mentioned her this seems to be a recurring saga as soon as any one mentions any thing other than prais about your place they are attacking or knocking your lillie , this is clearly not the case.

The next time I am over in the north I will endeavor to pay you a visit and sample hour fine Cuisine regardless of the views.

Bernies - message 47.

So, just to get this straght - Pizza King sells Angora at 18 tl a bottle? Guidos sells Angora at 24 tl a bottle? As you point out in your message, that is a difference of 6 tl (or just over £2.50 a bottle) less?

So, not really anything like 20 tl a bottle less?

Hattikins, Nige going to Guido's and threatening to Kill Lilli is acceptable then...I couldn't give a flying fig whether Nige has a stroke or not, he is a nasty little creep and if there were more proper ppl over here he would have been spoken to a lot sooner!

Is there a group of people causing problems or is it one person using different names? There does seem to be one person who seems like he has a drink problem. Is it the same guy who used to advertised for airport pick ups then on occasions turn up clearly sloshed?

No of course not but is this forum the place for this matter to be discussed. Incidentally I have a close friend who suffered a stroke and I find your casual reference to it very offensive.

CatalkoyKid. Have you been a brain surgeon very long? It seems to have affected you.

Moderators, I think it`s about time something was done about DeeCyprus and Catalkoy Kid`s constant

foul mouthing on this board. They criticise Nige but they are ten times worse.
