On this week's "Maggie Meets" programme on ADA FM 96.3, Maggie will be talking to Marian Stokes of the Home Buyers Pressure Group. Given the current atmosphere and unrest surrounding the highly emotive subject of property ownership in TRNC, make sure you listen in this Friday from 6pm - 7pm, on 96.3FM. If you have any questions you feel that Marian may be able to answer on Friday, please post them on this board in answer to this message, and Maggie will try to get as many answered as possible.

I had the pleasure of spending a few hours in this remarkable lady's company yesterday. The burden of hope, grief and emotion that this woman carries on her shoulders is phenomenal. Marain Stokes is a fighter of the highest order who deserves all the credit and plaudits that she rightly receives. Good on yer girl!

It will be nearly 5 years , since September 2005, that HBPG was set to help stop homebuyers from being conned. I just hope Marian says in front of all those viewers the ONLY thing that will make the construction industry and the government to sit up and listen.

Perhaps she could make some comments with regards to a quiet legal organized demonstration outside the presidents office in support of all who may loose their homes to the banks that are asking for the owners to start paying mortgages on the properties that they once thought they owned..??

magalan, whether she personally joins the NO KOCAN, NO MONEY! movement is irrelevant. For all I know, she might be looking to sell a property and such an approach would not personally help her. As Chair/Spokes person (or whatever) of HBPG it would be interesting to know what that group's opinion is. Perhaps she could raise the question at the next committee meeting?
