Booze Prices - Supermarket or Duty Free?

I need to take some premium spirits back to the UK for friends, don't drink so no idea what is a good price. Looking for Jack Daniels, Smirnoff Vodka etc. Is there any price difference between the supermarkets and duty free? What is the allowance per person Ercan-UK. Thanks

No a lot, as far as I can see. I always buy from the supermarket, then I can pack it in the suitcase and don't have to lug it around with me after check in. Jack Daniels has just dropped in price from 55tl to 46tl a litre. Don't know what the allowance is, I reckon it's the same as everywhere else 1Litre of Spirits per person and 200 cigs.

generally speaking, Ercan is cheaper than supermarkets especially on tobacco so I would imagine it is the same for spirits plus if you buy at duty free it is not part of your weight allowance

Dont forget if you buy at Ercan and are changing planes in Turkey that security at the airport in Turkey will confiscate bottles. Needs to be packed in your hold baggage.
