This has probably been asked before but can someone tell me what the criteria is for importing motorcycles to TRNC is. I know the duty is very high but is there an age limit as there is with cars. Any advise would be much appreciated.

Hi the cost of importing is dependent on the cc ,for a motorcycle. On an 81 to 125cc it's netts down to a total of 62% of the imported cost this is based on the cost of shipping added to the cost of the bike and plus $290. On a 125 to 250cc it's 86% plus $580 and over 250cc its 76% plus $580 so if cyprusoft's mate got it in for no customs duty crated or not there has either been a mistake or he knows someone or something I don't know and to date I have imported about 400 bikes and scooters

is there an age limit on motorcycles your allowed to import. i know its 3 years for cars is it the same for bikes. Also, if i put 12months tax on it in the UK before i ride it over will they allow the 12 months grace before you have to pay the duty as they do with the cars.
