I have got a stand up water cooler/heater. Just recently the cold water is tasting a bit metalic/brackish. (I have tried 3 different bottles). The cooling/heating tanks are sealed. Does anyone know what you can flush the water tank through with to give it a clean? Cheers in advance.

Brackish means it is a dilute salt solution like the water in an estuary, I'm thinking you maybe mean a bit earthy/ peaty and not brackish. You can clean the system out fairly easily using Milton tablets as described above... it's perfectly safe and you should notice a distinct improvement in the taste... if it still tastes brackish I would change your brand of bottled water...

How often should it be cleaned, roughly. Or do you just wait 'till the water doesn't taste right?
