I know nothing about football...nothing.... so I may be completely on the wrong track here but I can't understand for the life of me why the manager always gets the boot or has to resign. These players who are so called professionals get something akin to a small fortune to kick a ball about a field and when they cannot do it they don't take the blame ever.

It's always put down to the manager being at fault...isn't it time these footballers took a little bit of personal responsibilty for their failings like we all have to do in the real world and get on with things?

I think there is a clause in his contract which allows him to quit if England dont qualify,

if england don't qualify for the last 16,

then the whole team should be sacked, and then start a fresh with a new manager and squad, ready for the european championship's, then that would give us 2 yrs to get things right, hopefully.

Terry should be recalled as captain, joe cole should be in the line up, capello should not have played green and he should be sacked not allowed to resign, the man has a hitler complex and doesn't listen to his players..it is clear there is a major problem between him and the players and the only one with the balls to speak out is john terry.

johnnybgoode, that is the best idea that any one has come up with so far... Sack them all, start them on a salary that represents normality, make the salary a bonus if GOALS are scored!!!.....



Capello may be tougher on the players but its what was needed, they all know they have played badly for ages, its poor excuses to always blame the nanager...

I totally agree with you. He should never had sacked Terry as captain, it was a pathetic excuse pandering to the press. Terry has been the only one with guts to go public on the obvious discontentment.
