Bringing a UK car to the TRNC

Could any one tell me if there is a time limit on bringing out a UK car to the TRNC !

We would of been here a year on July 15th.

I have brought in two cars from the UK and as far as i am aware there is no time limit for you to bring a car over.As you are probably aware there is an age limit for the car you are bringing over (except classic) but not time.

Have also been told that you pay import duty immediately if you have been here 365 days and you bring in a vehucle.



meaning that you dont get the years grace before duty is payable ?????

if you have shipped furniture or goods here you will have to pay straight away anyway (1 month )

Now that UK VAT is 20% and you can buy a car in the UK less VAt if you are exporting outside the EU (you get a special tax disc and the car has to be transported within a time limit) it might now be worth sourcing new cars in the UK and paying the import duties...



They want 33,500 Euros for a Toyota Corolla Verso here....
