Call for book and furniture donations for the Cyprus Nature Library

Hello all,



I am currently involved in a project with Kuskor (the North Cyprus Society for the Protection of Birds and Nature) to establish a Cyprus Nature Library. The basic idea of the library is to fill the gap in available literature and resources realted to the nature and environment of Cyprus - as there is lots of literature and resources but they are pretty hard to find here and not available openly to all. There is also a strong environmental education purpose behind the library and we will be getting involved with schools and helping various environmental education and environmental awarenss raisiıng projects on the island.



Resources available will include all books on the nature, environment, geology, geography, conservation, flora, fauna of Cyprus, scientific literature and reports, children's nature books in English and Turkish, DVDs, Videos and lots more. We are aiming to launch the library (and accompanying Kuskor and Cyprus Nature library website) towards the

mid to end of August.



Where we need your help at the moment is if you have or know of any furniture that might be useful for the library - especially bookcases and/or shelves, that you would be happy to donate, we would be really grateful. Also if you know anyone and/or have any books that you would be happy to donate to the library we would be really grateful for those to. We also welcome tourist books on Cyprus and gardening and walking books, or similar.
