Any particular reason why it has to be a 'mature and professional lady' ???

Wouldn't a 'mature and professional gentleman' do just as well ??

Hi Rose,

If you didn't want to work there, why would anyone else?

Our HR person once explained to me that initial weeding-out of applicants for jobs was done by seeing if they followed the instructions in the job advert

The advert clearly states "If you are interested please contact Rose on 0533 836 7095"

So if you ask for details on here, or ask for them to email you with more details, then you have just demonstrated that you are not capable of understanding, and following, a simply worded instruction

I would presume that you have just de-selected yourselves

And she said that they never give a job to someone who gets their little wifie to enquire for them

But just for your information, message 6 definitely seems to imply that males are in with a chance - except YOUR husband of course on the grounds mentioned above, not to mention not following the instructions in the job advert

I have worked in HR and it is customary to give job applicants more information before they call you. This is so that you do not waste your or their time by a job they cannot or do not want to do. Imagine how much time Park Lane will waste if they get 50 enquiries, answering the same old questions time after time. Makes sense to at least give a job description then serious contenders can ring.

CarrieRBag,

I agree with you that it is incumbent upon the advertiser to provide sufficient detail, however, I don't think that the wording leaves much to the imagination

"We are looking for a Mature and professional lady to take on a managers position at Park Lane holiday village"

Surely anyone would know whether they had sufficient experience and ability to take on this role, regardless of 'detail' - if they have to ask, BEFORE they even follow the clear instructions to communicate by telephone, then they haven't a clue as to what is required of them, and shouldn't bother asking

If Park lane find that 50 or 500 inappropriate applicants ring them, then they might consider adding more detail

Hi Vaughan

Park lane is my past as you know . I am only being helpful giving my details for contact, that is all, I am not employing anybody I do not work there as you know I now run the Aeria Bar and I am very happy .

I take the calls and forward details on to the owner and he is the one interviewing . The job description is very clear any further questions he will answer them when interviewing as you know Vaughan he does not speak English that is why I have offered my services .

It would help if applicants speak a little Turkish to communicate with him .

And Vaughan why wouldn't anybody else want to work there Just because I left for the reasons I did that is down to the individual to make up there own minds if they want to work there .

Is this Vacancy open to people who live in the South. I know a lovely woman called GR that lives south but would love to relocate to the north. She is very professional. Can I get her to apply with her CV. She has full figure of a woman. There is a only one downside, she is GC which means that she has a beard and a uni-brow. Spanui.
