Sorry Bonner, but the link doesn't help; it just takes us to the HBPG's front page. Is this for all foreign residents, or just those who have citizenship?

The whole event was a 'no show' by the public - except about four people attending an HBPG meeting. This must have been more than disappointing for UBP organizers, who had generously ensured that tables were nicely laid out with plates of 'smorgasbord' type 'finger food' and dishes of sliced cucumber and carrots, as well as dishes containing a variety of nuts. There were waiters circulating with liquid refreshments, including wine. There was a stage and sound system set up - it looked as though they were expecting about a couple of hundred people. The UBP reps. were very pleasant to us, welcoming us, meeting us individually and shaking hands - personally, I felt SO sorry for them, not least for the expense they had obviously gone to in order to try and make the event a success.

Have not had internet so unable to post further until now. Home Buyers Pressure Group website was down yesterday because of a power cut and no internet. The advertisement that appeared in Cyprus Today should not have read TRNC Citizens but all Foreign Residents welcome. Msg 5 Was originally scheduled for Tuesday but because of the advertisement very few ex-pats turned up. When the mistake was realised it has been re-scheduled for Thursday. Nidai is keen to meet as many foreign residents as possible and if elected proposes to open a Foreign Residents Liaison Office in Girne.

I would think that most, including me, had heard enough garbage about helping foreign reisdents by Dervis Eroglu on his election campaign. If I could I would challenge Dervis Eroglu face to face about his inactivity but he does not wish to talk to any foreigners, or that is the impression given. So carry on UBP wasting you money, nobody will waste their time ever again.
