What an enjoyable match this afternoon, England-Germany (1-4) - and the very best team won, because Germany has the best player of the day: Herr Schweinsteiger! Superb vision to left and right, superior passes, disqualifying England's overrated moneymakers (just performing for their cluvbs in an acceptable way when they are surrounded by imported talent). Fabio Capello's bluff was called, from the start the fans' hope diminished to castles in the air. Finally an exciting match in this disappointing tournament. Thank you for reading this short analysis.

Hi all, I am not sure I agree with Han's analysis. Sure the Germans were excellent, but the English players were not helped by some bizarre managerial decisions ( does Peter Crouch not play for England anymore?) and that disgraceful refereeing decision must have knocked to stuffing out of England just as they were getting back in the game. Germany remind me of the Irish team under Jack Charlton. That team was made up of English, Scots, Western Samoans and anyone else with an Irish Grannie (I am still proud of each one of them). Germany has Mesut Ozil, Kehidre, Boateng. Do young 'real' german boys not play football anymore? I feel Argentina will give them a good run for their money. DD

Osama bin Laden has just released a new TV message to prove he is still alive. He said that the England Team performance on Saturday was completely s**t. British intelligence have dismissed the claim, stating that the message could have been recorded anytime in the last 44 years. Robert Green - The only man to leave Africa with out catching anything . In a statement from broadcasting house, all future England games will now be shown on the gay porn channel. It is thought that 11 arseholes being regularly shafted is too explicit for regular TV. I can't believe we only managed a draw against a s**t team we should easily have beaten......I'm ashamed to call myself Algerian. The England team went to visit an orphanage in South Africa this morning, "its so good to put a smile on the faces of people with no hope, constantly struggling, and facing the impossible" said Jamal Omboto, aged 6. Fifa have released a statement saying the fan didn't

Fifa have released a statement saying the fan didn't break into the dressing room after all, but was let in by Rob Green. What's the difference between Rob Green's spill and BP's spill? - Robert Green has got a cap for his. Fabio Capello was wheeling his shopping trolley across the supermarket car park when he noticed an old lady struggling with her bags of shopping. He stopped and asked, "Can you manage dear?" To which the old lady replied, "No way. You got yourself into this f*****g mess, don't ask me to sort it out..." The FA have launched an inquiry to find out how a fan found his way into the dressing room. And another enquiry into how Aaron Lennon found his way into the dressing room.

Rob Green has trained today and in 3 hours he had 4,000 shots fired at him and did not concede a single goal. Tomorrow, he and Heskey will train with the rest of the squad.

Hate to point this out to you DD but nobody wins a war, one side just loses more than the other and eventually gives up. Not quite the same as football and I would venture to suggest why many people don't find it so funny. Not criticising anyones beliefs, we all have our own understanding of things. Paul

Three European teams in the semis... When the finals started who would have predicted that? If Schweinsteiger is going to be Man of the Match V Netherlands then they'll need to be on their metal.

Got to agree with Hans, Germany took the mighty Argentina apart with simple football played properly..great to watch, all the big names have failed to deliver..hope Germany go on to win as there football is a joy to watch. As for Schweinsteiger....what a player, a real footballer at long last...hope the England superstars are watching, this a real quality player and not a pathetic phoney.

Well Germany certainly didn't live up to their billing did they? Schweinsteiger can go back to tending his pigs... I hear he's going to be at the 2012 Olympics in the Diving category.. Spain made them look like England... If Spain play like that against Holland, there's a very good chance that Holland will be trounced.
