You have probably heard already but Jennifer Lopez will be celebrating her 41st birthday at the new Cratos Hotel opening night on 24 July. She will be coming with her husband and children. The night before John Secada will be on stage. Roberto Cavalli will also be doing a fashion show as a guest of Fashion TV. Las Vegas has arrived!!

With her money I could think of a million places to spend my birthday and sorry to say NC wouldn't be one of them. I wonder if we will find her doing a 'turn' at one of the local karaoke bars ??



Forgive the cynicism, but I do wonder whether Jenni chose to come here on a family holiday or whether she was 'incentivised' by the owners. LOL



Anyway, best of luck to the hotel, lets hope that the TRNC starts to get the sort of tourist numbers required to fill such a large establishment.

I'm fascinated as to who is going to fill their 410 rooms plus 10 suites, with 14 restaurants and private 1km beach. There aren't enough planes coming in surely to fill it!!

It is said that she will also go to Golden Beach @ Karpaz Peninsula. I wonder whether she will have a coffee break on the way @ Sinya restaurant in Kucukerenkoy or not. We'll see ))

I did hear she was coming and heard she was performing but was invitataion only. Heard nothing about the great man Sekada thou. Exciting times ahead.

I think it's brilliant news for North Cyprus if she is indeed coming! It will give us international coverage in the media. Saying that, I did see a segment from BRT TV about the Tai-Kwondo (spelling?) national team which was filmed in the Turkish Quarter in Girne, shown on CNN last week. I nearly fell off the sofa in shock!!

Newlad got wind of this a couple of weeks ago and booked us (x 4) in for a weeks stay (1st week of the opening, its his wifes 30th). He is over in NC sorting the tickets out.
