Are Nethouse the only ISP on the island still blocking You Tube?



If so how can I get around the block?

i assume that its still blocked as the internet traffic goes through turk telekom network and you has been blocked for a few years now

Yes, I had the same problem: Nethouse and no You Tube.



I got over it by downloading 'Hotspot' - it's OK, but you get 'voice over' ads., just when you're trying to listen to something you like on You Tube - most annoying.



Does anyone have a solution?

yes get a uk based vpn..cheapest i found is at https://www.my-private-network.co.uk/ £5 a month and because it gives you a uk based ip number you will be able to go to sites available only in the uk..........ie bbc iplayer etc .



if it's just youtube you want access to then there are numerous us free ones, just do a search and take your pick..............personally i found ultravpn to be the best as there appears to be no annoying ads https://www.ultravpn.fr/

A VPN with Nethouse would give you complete anonymity would it not, might be a bit pricey though.

You can get some off of the internet and download them, I had a very good one when in Dubai but it cost me about $30/year and can only be used on 1 computer so if it was just for U Tube, I doubt it would be worth it, still if anyone is interested, pop up a quick comment or e-mail me and I will try to find the link for it.

I use My Private network for a fiver a month and watch You Tube and have been watching all of Wimbledon with very few breaks in transmission and we have nethouse networks. Well worth a fiver in my opinion and cheaper than buying a dopi tv subscription!
