i have been to Northern Cyprus a couple of times before .Problem this time is

there are no flights from Ireland North or South.I have been forced to fly into Southern Cyprus Paphos and will need to rent a car,so far i can not find a rental company who will allow me to cross the boarder with their car.

Can anyone tell me the name of a hire company that will allow me to do this.

I have used these twice and have had no problems. Once from Paphos and once from Larnaca and I had told them I was visiting the north.

Remember though - when you cross the border to go north your insurance goes from fully comp to third party!

Also remember that the standard of driving in both the south and the north of the island is very poor. If you have a prang it is your responsibility to get the car back to the hire company in the south.

Would you drive a car such as a Ford Fiesta/Focus in the UK with only 3rd party insurance, I guess the answer would be no.
