Sounds like a waste of good vodka to me! Can't you buy a bottle of 'rubbing alcohol' at the chemist which would do the same things? Maggie

I think the tips are great. Especially mould in bathrooms. And the razor blade one. No 16. Put vodka in a little spray bottle and use it as an insect repellent. Works great. Also works when sprayed on mozzy bites. CarrieRBag - what's a jigger, please? I'm not being sarcastic - my son would like to try the shampoo one.

smooth, Long ago, I used to have a pal who would 'drink and drive' - he said that you had to be very careful not to spill it, when going round corners. I was once in the next car to him at some traffic lights, and I saw him reach across, & fumble in the glove compartment, before he produced a bottle of sherry, from which he took a hearty swig! Sad to say, he's dead now...

| Keith I had a friend who had a really bad accident years ago (luckily no one else was involved and she wasn't seriously injured) She was well over the limit - when asked by me "why the hell were you driving in that state?" she replied "cos I was far too p****d to walk" Thankfully she discovered things called taxis after that...but still drinks for England! | CarrieRBag - These tips are Fantastic, My Mam used to do a lot of similar things (not with vodka though). - When we washed our hair she used vinigar for the flea/flea eggs (which stick to the hair), also it made the hair nice and soft. - When there were no fleas she rinsed out hair in Beer - again lovely and shiny especailly for my dark haired sisters. ANYONE GOT ANY MORE? |

Also, if your clothes in the wardrobe are starting to smel a bit musty, spray lightly with vodka and that will get rid of the smell and not stain the clothes.

I was given this "recipe" by a Russian lady to treat bruising and it works better than arnica. Equal parts of vodka, lemon cologne and water. Mix and use a dressing pad to masseage into bruised area three or four times a day. It works a treat. Alternatively keep a bottle of vodka in the freezer, mix a hearty shot with pink grapefruit juice and you really won't care about your bruise
