There are no Gatwick flights announced... Have you called CTA to ask what they have laid on/plan to lay on?

Who did you buy your ticket from / give your money too? Have you asked them?

Look on the other threads

All the advice and the flight times and dates are there.

You have to turn up at Ercan for an appropriate flight and if there is room they will put you on it. End of!

Otherwise book new flights and take a chance with your compo.

Monarch have just whacked their flight prices up. British airways still very reasonable.

Just buying the T shirt!!

P.S. If there is anyone about to re book to Stansted or Gatwick, my 15yr old son should have been flying last night and it now looks like Larnaca BA or Easy Jet is the only financially viable option for us. He's a bit nervous of doing Larnaca alone, so if I could hook him up with someone for moral support and checking in that would be great. please let me know. Taxi share would also be helpful. What a nightmare eh!

Vidal, "end of!"

Not really, the flight goes and you've no longer got accommodation for you and the small children. You maxed out the credit card for the holiday and so can't pay for alternative flights, you'll lose the job if you arrive back late for work... Yes there are alternatives to whip out the credit card and put £1000 on it for BA flights. Now who is to blame for this? Who is doing nothing to help the victims as a result of their selling tickets whilst being insolvent? Who won't be in those queues with their kids desperately hoping they don't get pushed out of it by someone who doesn't give a damn if a women and her three small children get left behind?

I know!! You are absolutely correct. Its a total nightmare. Pegasus are totally exploiting the situation. I have just been quoted £552 single Ercan to Stansted and there is one single solitary seat on Turkish airlines Ercan to Heathrow tommorrow for £278

I cant afford either!

I have just found the following flights. Laranaca to Gatwick

01 July 23.15 £132

03 July 13.50 £260

04 July 23.30 £144

06 July 00.15 £102

These prices probably do not include anything like suitcases I think on at least one there is a late booking fee too.

have flights booked for 30th June stanstead to Ercan called atlas on 02164443387 they have said that they have laid on charter flights for KTHY flights and turn up with KTHY tickets. I explained that didnt want to turn up to find out that plane booked and there reply was, that only people who are flying on that flight are people who where flying on KTHY on same day. Only concern its a different flight time diffrerent flight number and have to change planes. Also havent got flight times for the return flight and will have to call up in middle of July!!!!!!!!!

Good luck all going to need it

Steviec,

Did you mean 30th July? Because ...

Not like me to be optimistic but hell fire this could be true! Check the Atlasjet booking engine. Not only is the flight there but it is listed as 'full', and its a bit early for it to be 'full' if Atlas have only just listed it and were intending to sell their own tickets for it. If it WAS for KTHY ticket holders though ... that would be different and might explain it ....

But still best to be cautious.

As a confirmed sceptic, the evidence from their booking engine is that in this case they would appear to telling the truth .... which COULD be very good news for a great many people. But still, best not to get carried away.

This is an email I received from Atlas the phrase that is repeated throughout is 'If seats are available'It certainly does not say KTHY ticket holders are guaranteed a seat

Dear Passenger

Firstly, we would like to thank you to interest and sensitive for our airlines.

Due to the partnership of Cyprus Turkish Airlines (CTA) and Atlasjet Airlines, the following procedure will be followed in order to compensate the passengers who have a ticket from CTA with a replacement flight.

If CTA passengers come to the airport on their day of flight with their CTA tickets, they will be accepted on board to Atlasjet Airlines’ scheduled flights and the extra flights that are planned (detailed list in FAQ http://cmss.atlasjet.com/en/faq ), if there are free seats available. Those passengers who do not have their tickets with them will still be accepted on board with a written approval from a CTA agent, if there are free seats available.

Those passengers who cannot submit a ticket or an

That's an old one, been around for ages. What Steviec's been told plus what is on the booking engine for his date indicates a possible development on that. But again I still not getting carried away.

You have got a few choices here.

You can fly to the UK from either Larnaca or Paphos

You can try easyjet

You try first chice

thomascook

You can find flights to any UK Airport. You have to be flexible if you want to go to the UK.

My daughter got back into the uk last night from Larnaca into Doncaster on a Thomson flight. In future we've all decided it will be a flight from Doncaster or Leeds to Larnaca then a taxi into the North.

London Msg 14 - lots of options for alternative flights and routes (many can be found on our http://www.flightholiday.co.uk site) but unless you are already in the “could have travelled but were barred from travelling as there were no flights seats or options provided” situation beware of breaking contract as then you can claim little or nothing back. No one as of today seems to be declared bankrupt.

I too will be not be flying into the north for the forseable future. The faffing around and the total lack of info BEFORE they turned belly up was enough for me. Maybe we should start a Taxi share thread on here, as sometimes I expect that as in my own case I fly out earlier than my other half so theres only me in the taxi. I was actually booked to fly home wednesday 30th June to Manchester with CTA but for personal reasons chose to fly home Sunday 20th to Manchester on Pegasus flight. Am I glad I did. The flight was full but when we stopped over everyone got off except me. As I sat there the cabin crew kept saying to me " Get off you must get off" I said NO NO NO its Manchester I go, or words to that effect! A bit later more happy folks joined me and off we flew. Dont think this Pegasus flight has been running very long.... and its not all year round.

Happy travelling folks!
