Just to pass on my congratulations to Pam and Mike and all the staff at the hotel for the successful buffet night last night.

It was a brilliant night out last night - great food, fantatic company, and music and dancing all night.

Can't believe it's only 10TL a head and you can eat as much as you like!

Lots of people were there so the message is starting to spread well. It's on every month so for anyone who's not yet tried it out, it's definitely worth giving it a try next month.

Pippie, My partner and me are coming over early sunday morning, and are staying at the mountain hotel. We will be picking our hire car up from pacific in Kyrenia. Could you give me directions to the mountain hotel from there please.

I'm sorry poochielover, I don't know Pacific. The best I can do for you is ... driving from the main Girne/Nicosia roundabout towards Lapta, you'll drive out of Kyrenia centre and through Karaoğlanoğlu (with Lemar on your left, drive through the traffic lights where you can turn left to GAU University), Bektaş will be on your right (on the outskirts leaving Karaoğlanoğlu) (about 3 or 4 miles). Just after Bektaş you'll see a sign for Carpenters restaurant and bar pointing to the right, there's a bus stop on the corner. Turn right down that road and follow the road heading to the sea. At the bottom, the road turns left then left again following the sign for the Mountain View. Straight on to the end of that road (it's a little housing estate) and turn right, the hotel is facing you at the end of the road.

Good luck!

Pippie,

Thanks for the directions. I know where you mean, and have passed the signpost for carpenters on many occasions. Pleased you directed us, as i would have been turning left and trying to find the hotel somewhere up in the bespermark mountains.

Thanks again for your help.

Stu & Hayley.

Hi raidercruise - the July 'buffet & music' night will take place on Wednesday July 28th from 7-30pm onwards.

The price should still be 10 lira per person.

Reservations can be made by calling MIKE on 0533 830 5374 or Sue on 0533 848 5115

We are expecting another full house at the next event because of the success of the June event. A total of over 170 people attended and had a fantastic time.

To you, and all others wanting to attend - only pre-bookings will be accepted on the night - first come first served - so book early to avoid disappointment

Hi raidercruise,

I am not sure about this months date, I will have to speak to mum and confirm. It is usually the last Wednesday of every month. You can make a reservation from the website http://www.mountainviewcyprus.com via the contact us section.

Don't worry, they wouldn't dream of putting up the price. A good atmosphere and happy people are far more important to mum and dad. The manager of the hotel told me last weeks one was a record attendance, with around 160 guests, so I'm happy to say that word seems to be spreading well.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Regards,

Oz

Thank you for the details.

What I wanna ask only is about the buffet menu. Is the buffet according to English style or Local Turkish food is available as well like kebabs etc. I have some Cypriot friends as well. Family friends. So I was thinking to invite them.

I would be very thankful if you can elaborate this menu thing as well.

See you.

Hi Raidercruise, the food at the Mountain View 'music & buffet' night usually consists of salad and hot & cold meze's - a hot dish (either curry or chicken & mushroom in sauce - or something on that style of food) with potato wedges or chips - and a sweet or fruit to finish.

For just 10 lira per person you can't get a better buffet anywhere. Come on down to the next event on Wednesday 28th July and try it out.

Only those pre-booking, will be able to eat on the night. To avoid disappointment contact

Mike on 0533 830 5374 or Sue on 0533 848 5115

The dates for this year are Wed 28th July - Wed 25th August - Wed 29th September and Wed 27th October. Just in case you forget the actual dates, an easy way to remember when the 'buffet' nights take place is that they are on the last Wednesday of those months.
