Yes, ambulift etc. all available at Larnaca. I assume you have notified the carrier? If so, there will be one waiting along with assistance. Safe journey. D2

Assistance is readily available at Larnaca and the young man pushing the wheelchair for us and taking us to the lift was superb. If you are flying with Monarch from Manchester they are very helpful if you inform them beforehand. They also allocated my wheelchair bound friend a front row, extra legroom seat at no extra cost. At Larnaca they are also helpful but not willing to allocate the front seats, they initially put my friend at the back of the plane, and as you know at Manchester you exit from the front of the plane, so we needed to get a supervisor to authorise moving her up the plane at Check in. They moved her to seat 10 but that was the best they would do. So she really had to struggle up the plane when she needed the loo. I think next time we will be seeing if Monarch in Manchester have any influence over placing disabled people in the front when boarding at Larnaca.

No problem as long as (a) you pre-requested assistance and (b) someone actually turns up. For my 82 year old mother-in -law we are still waiting! Use Ercan - no such hassles there!!!! Geoff

Panchocat, your friend was fortunate with the front row seat. Normal restrictions do not allow wheelchair bound users in the front row. Pegasus would not let my mum sit in the front row even though there was a bulk head.

Monarch have given her the bulkhead seat on several occasions and it is always appreciated. It does not come under the emergency exit rule seemingly.

The first few rows with Monarch are extra leg room seats and attract a premium, I think it is £25 each way, so that may be the reason they couldn't move her further up the plane if all the seats were already booked.

Hi Further to westenders post, these seats can be booked at the same time that you book your flight and do cost £25 each way. We have a baby, so we're quite happy to pay the extra as it makes so much difference. When booking your Monarch flight you can look at the seat plan and choose your seat, even if it isn't a more expensive seat.

If you have booked wheelchair assistance in advance, Easyjet always put you at the front of the plane where the seats are reserved for people needng assistance. They also always take you on the plane first which makes life much easier.
