We are looking for a Bar or Restaurant where we can drop anchor or moor up and come ashore for a few beers and something to eat whilst keeping an eye on the boat

Hi Julie,

You can moor in the bays around the Celebrity which have the following establishments:

The Celebrity Watefront - but we only serve drinks.

Beach Lagoon.

Jessics.

Sunset aslso has mooring.

Camelot is a safe anchorage.

Others, unsheltered but good on a calm day would be:

The Hut.

Silver Rocks.

Rosie's.

Apologies to any I might have missed.

Wade through heaps of stinking seaweed on the shores of Diana beach rare old tin shack offering snacks and beers at a price you will have to mortgage your boat for, thoughly recommended for all the things we dont want in NC.

The Veranda, Karaoglanoglu. Going towards Karaoglanoglu from Girne, turn left after snake island, pass Riviera bungalows and drop your anchor! They have sunbeds and a direct access to the sea/restaurant + bar.. Yaşar (the owner) mostly parks his jetski and speedboat infront aswell.. Superb filetsteaks, allacarte cuisine, lots of drinks, nice and friendly staff. Customers: Mostly TCs and UK uperclass. prices reasonable but not cheap!

If you fancy exploring the other end of the island Tatlisu Belediyse (?) restaurant are quite used to folk anchoring up and swimming up for a meal. It's a fairly limited menu but very well cooked and with plenty of tasty meze included in the price - around 20tl for meze and lamb chops. It's a fabulous location and you have full use of the beach, sun loungers and showers there as well. Happy sailing

Many places have jettys or piers for their customers to walk, sit or dine on. Many have steps down into the sea for swimmers, but very few have a fendered berth for a yacht to tie-up to. Just shows what a minority sport/pastime yachting in TRNC is.
