| I am looking for casual work and want to know what I need to do in terms of a work permit.
Can anyone help me please? |

| You need a company with no debts to apply for your permit.
Then you need an 'In and Out' document (available from the police station in Girne) plus a 9.20tl stamp.
A blood test (can be done in a private clinic), cost around 100tl.
Money in the bank (which will be frozen......as back-up for a ticket home) currently 750 euros.
A letter from your bank clarifying this (HSBC will only do it if you are a Premier customer).
Your passport.
And you will have to leave the country and come back in at the correct time, the accountant should let you know when. You can go south for that. Normally 24 hrs but I did it in less time.
Then the work permit fee, current price around 200tl.
Have fun, I always find its a lot of hassle. |

and you can only work for the single employer, ithe permit must be renewed annually, and if you change your job then your permit is cancelled and your new employer must start the process again. |

| Dont forget you will have to pay for your social security stamp too whether you earn enough or not currently about 120ytl a month even if you work part time. |
